ISTANA BAN was officially opened in July 2007 by the then President Director of PT. Bridgestone Tire Indonesia (BSIN), Mr. Ikuo YOSHINO. Expanding BSIN’s national network of almost 200 Authorised Tire Outlets, ISTANA BAN is one of the first few BRIDGESTONE TRUCK TIRE CENTRE (BTTC) in the country and the first of its kind in Medan. Built on an area of approximately 2,000m², we are strategically located among the town’s mecca of logistics companies. A number of large housing complexes are also a stone’s throw away from us. Therefore, we are both equipped to service customers of all scales, be it trucks and buses or passenger cars. Hence, both fleet and walk-in customers are welcome here.

SAFETY is our Top Priority
We understand that part of our work done in the workshop carries a considerable amount of risk. A simple task of topping-up the air pressure in a tire can cause immeasurable damage if it were not done properly. This is why we prioritize safety in EVERYTHING we do, from having sufficient numbers of fire extinguishers in strategic locations around the workshop to having the all-important (but frequently forgotten) safety cage. On top of that, all our mechanics are highly trained (by BSIN) individuals in handling tire-related equipments and practice BSIN’s recommended standard operating “safety” procedures. Some of them even have Certificates of Distinction in specific fields of their jobs.
Customer Satisfaction is a MUST for us
From the initial design and construction of ISTANA BAN, we have emphasized the importance of customer comfort. Our workshop layout was drawn up by Japanese architects who specialize in designing automotive work spaces. Passenger car owners will immediately notice that the air-conditioned waiting room has a dedicated Kid’s Corner next to the non-smoking area. Our extensive display of tires, wheels and automotive lubricants are there to help customers choose the most suitable product for them. A (free) Wi-Fi connection has recently been added to improve the comfort of our waiting customers.
Outside, drivers of trucks and buses can easily observe the meticulous work done on their vehicles or just sit and enjoy our complimentary beverage while waiting for the jobs to be completed; all in a comfortable sheltered area that is free from the scorching heat or torrential rain of our tropical weather.
